The 18-year-old dog finally makes it home after three years away, much to the relief of its owners.

It is always tragic when a dog disappears, but it is essential to maintain hope. Dogs can reappear months or even years after they have vanished, often when we least anticipate it.

After three years apart, a remarkable occurrence occurred for one family when their aging dog found them again. A 18-year-old dog named Binky, also known as Mr. B, was taken in by the South Carolina animal shelter Dorchester Paws last month.

A Good Samaritan discovered the dog “wandering around” on the street prior to its rescue.

Binky was in terrible health; he had overgrown nails, decaying teeth, a matted coat, was underweight, and was infested with fleas. According to a Facebook post, the shelter shaved the elderly dog’s fur, examined him, and provided him with life-saving care.

While scrubbing Binky, a microchip was discovered. It was scanned to identify the dog’s owner. and were stunned to learn Binky had been absent for three years!

When he was not found, “they were utterly devastated,” wrote Dorchester Paws. Despite their endeavors, they were unsuccessful in locating him. All they desired was to locate and scan him. They had been anticipating the call for years. Binky finally returned home after three years. A shelter volunteer volunteered to convey the dog’s family six hours away.

After completing this arduous voyage, Mr. B may now rest comfortably with the family that rescued him from a shelter all those years ago. We are confident that despite Binky’s advanced age in dog years, he will be content to live out his days with his loving family.
