Pep Guardiola has revealed that John Stones will not be available to play for Manchester City until after the September international break.
The defender has missed City’s last three games due to a hip injury, and Guardiola has confirmed he will be absent for upcoming Premier League matches against Sheffield United and Fullham
Stones is also expected to miss England’s Euro 2024 qualifier against Ukraine in Wroclaw, Poland and a friendly against Scotland at Hampden Park

The 29-year-old has not featured for City since playing the full 90 minutes of the Community Shield defeat to Arsenal at the start of August.

Manuel Akanji has adopted Stones’ role of moving into midfield from defence when City have the ball, as Guardiola continues to find solutions to early season injury issues.
Kevin de Bruyne is expected to miss up to four months with a hamstring injury, and Bernardo Silva has not featured since the win at Burnley due to illness.
