Bronny James claimed over the weekend that he’d be a quarterback if he played football, as he and his USC basketball teammates took in some Trojans action.
James, the eldest son of NBA star LeBron, was hospitalized in July after suffering a cardiac arrest during a workout at USC’s Galen Center.
He was released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center three days later on July 24.
On Saturday, the freshman guard and his teammates took in USC football’s 56-28 win over San Jose State, and they were asked what position they’d play as football players.
‘I would probably play QB,’ he told the basketball squad’s social media team.
‘I got a good arm, man. I can read defense and stuff.’

The answers of Bronny’s teammates, meanwhile, ranged from wide receiver, tight end, safety and quarterback as well.
The James family released a statement late last month saying a congenital heart defect was the probable cause of James’ cardiac arrest.
The statement said the heart defect can be treated and that the family is confident in James’ ability to make a full recovery and return to the court in the near future.
USC basketball coach Andy Enfield said last week that Bronny was doing ‘extremely well’ and was in class at the university.
‘And we all love him,’ Enfield said. ‘I think everybody is hopeful that Bronny will return to the court. We just have to be patient and take it step by step.’

Earlier this summer, LeBron and his eldest son Bronny traveled to Minnesota to visit the Mayo Clinic for further treatment, according to TMZ.
The Mayo Clinic is one of the top hospitals in the United States, with campuses in Minnesota, Arizona and Florida.
James, a 6-foot-3 guard, committed to USC in May and bolstered what was already one of the nation’s top recruiting classes.
