Netflix’s One Piece Live Action showcased some amazing fight scenes with incredible choreography that left fans impressed.
Netflix’s One Piece Live Action series has proven to be an incredible adaptation for all the fans to enjoy. Not only has the show nailed the adventurous atmosphere of One Piece, but it has also managed to recreate the high-octane fights that Oda has incorporated into his story.
Translating fights from the One Piece manga to live-action would certainly have been an arduous task, however, the staff of the live-action series have lived up to all expectations and even surpassed them in many ways. There are quite a lot of incredible fights to choose from, however, only a handful stand at the top as the very best.
8. Usopp Vs Choo
Usopp Vs Choo is certainly not the best fight in Netflix’s One Piece Live Action season 1. It doesn’t feature quite a lot of combat but it is certainly very entertaining and, at the same time, funny.
Usopp’s character is used for humor quite a lot and this fight is the epitome of that. At the same time, this fight also gives Usopp a moment to shine, especially since he isn’t as strong as the other fighters on the crew. Although he spends most of the fight running away, he uses his wit to get the better of Choo.
7. Zoro Vs Mr. 7
The vast majority of the exciting action in Netflix’s One Piece Live Action series has come through Zoro. Fans know that Zoro is an excellent swordsman and his swordplay is what makes for some of the best fights in the story.
His very introduction sees him fight against Mr. 7, an agent of the Baroque Works. Zoro engages in exciting and fast swordplay with him, and ends up chopping him in half.
6. Zoro Vs Nyaban Fighters
Another incredible Zoro fight came during the Syrup Village Arc where Zoro took on the Nyaban fighters. In the manga, these two are siblings, however, in the live-action, that does not seem to be the case.
Nonetheless, these two prove to be quite a challenge for Zoro to take on. It is exciting to see Zoro deal with two powerful combatants at the same time, especially those who rely on speed as well as agility. Despite everything, Zoro’s swords beat them and he proves himself a worthy pirate hunter.
5. Luffy Vs Kuro
Luffy has also enjoyed his fair share of battles in Netflix’s One Piece Live Action series. This is understandable, given that he’s the protagonist of the story.
One of Luffy’s very best fights in the first season came against Kuro of the Black Cat Pirates. Kuro’s speed was certainly difficult for Luffy to keep up with and, what’s more, his cunning guile was also a threat. However, against Luffy’s rubber powers and incredible grit, it was all useless and he triumphed in the end.
4. The Straw Hat Pirates Vs Buggy
One of the most exciting battles in the first season of the One Piece Live Action series came during the Orange Town Arc, against the captain of the Buggy Pirates, Buggy the Genius Jester. This fight saw the Straw Hat Pirates combine their strength and use their brains to get the better of him.
Both Luffy and Zoro did not stand much of a chance against him, however, when both of them, together with Nami, combined their strength, they were able to lock away Buggy’s body parts and reduce him to a miniature version of himself, which Luffy then dispatched with a powerful Bazooka.
3. Zoro Vs Mihawk
One of the most one-sided fights in the first season of the One Piece Live Action series came in the Baratie arc. During this fight, Zoro takes on the world’s strongest swordsman, Dracule Mihawk.
As expected, Zoro gets bested quite easily. In fact, Mihawk doesn’t even use his sword to fight him. Instead, he uses a pocket knife and defeats Zoro with it quite easily. In the end, Zoro is humbled pretty badly, however, Mihawk still gains respect for him.
2. Sanji And Zoro Vs Kuroobi
In the One Piece Live Action series, Sanji and Zoro combine their strength to fight against Kuroobi of the Arlong Pirates. This fight was extremely entertaining for the fans to witness, given that it saw Zoro and Sanji put their differences aside and combine their strength.
Due to Zoro being heavily injured, he isn’t much help in this fight, which puts the vast majority of the load on Sanji. In the end, Sanji uses a powerful combo and finishes off Kuroobi with a Mutton Shot.
1. Luffy Vs Arlong
Luffy versus Arlong is undoubtedly the best fight in the first season of the One Piece Live Action series. This fight combines the incredible action that these two fighters light the screen up with and showcases them in the very best way possible. At the same time, this fight also carries immense emotional weight, which ensures that the fans stay on the edge of their seats.
The fight is fought for Nami and Luffy surpasses all his limits to defeat the powerful Fishman in order to free his friend as well as save Coco Village. Defeating Arlong also earns him a bounty of 30 million berries.
One Piece Live Action is available to watch on Netflix.
