Sanji is a powerful Straw Hat whose power level will only grow in the future.
Sanji is one of the strongest members of the Straw Hat Pirates and an elite officer of the Yonko crew. This crew has recently emerged to be one of the most dangerous in the entire world after they defeated the Beast Pirates in the Wano arc. While the entire crew is incredibly impressive, there are three characters in particular who, when it comes to combat, stand out high above the rest.
These characters are, of course, Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji. The latter two are known to be the Wings of the Pirate King and this gives them a level of importance that no character in the entire story has. Of course, both of them are incredibly strong, and Sanji, being the one whom the statement was used for initially, is certainly a menace in combat as well. Sanji is extremely powerful and he will only grow stronger as the series progresses, likely reaching unprecedented levels at the end of the story.
Sanji’s Current Strength
Sanji is already among the strongest pirates in the world of One Piece. This is quite clear from the fact that he currently has a bounty of 1.032 billion berries on his head. While bounties don’t necessarily imply the level of strength, Sanji certainly has done enough to earn himself this amount and, and deserves even more, when looking at the characters who have bounties higher than him. Sanji is incredibly impressive already and his current level of strength is great as well. In Wano, Sanji fought his toughest opponent to date and that was none other than Queen. Queen was one of the three right-hand men of Kaido, known as the All Stars. Given that Zoro took on King, it was only natural that Sanji would fight against Queen, a monstrously powerful pirate worth 1.32 billion berries.
Sanji did not struggle against Queen at all. In fact, it must be remembered that Sanji was fighting against him far from his very best. Before engaging Queen in combat, Sanji was captured by Black Maria and beaten brutally to the point where he was bleeding profusely. In fact, Sanji could not even use Haki to shield his body from damage because he worried that his Haki might accidentally injure Black Maria’s fists. He simply let himself get beaten up and this injured him tremendously. Later on, Sanji engaged in combat against both King and Queen together at the same time while keeping Zoro safe. Once again, Sanji burnt down quite a lot of his stamina as well as energy while doing that.
His full strength was revealed later on when he engaged in a fight against Queen. Queen was certainly strong, capable of utilizing several scientific technologies, on top of having a powerful Brachiosaurus Devil Fruit. Sanji, on the other hand, awakened his latent Germa powers. This boosted all of his physical attributes to the maximum and gave him more muscle mass. At the same time it made his body much stronger than ever before and this not only increases strength as well as speed but also allowed him to sustain stronger flames on his body. Fans have seen Sanji utilize the powers of Diable Jambe up until Wano, however, now, he has access to an even stronger technique, called Ifrit Jambe.
The power of Ifrit Jambe is such that Sanji could dismantle Queen with just a few hits. This just goes to show that his level is much higher than that of Queen at the moment. In fact, Sanji could even defeat King if he were to fight him. If anything, King would be an easy opponent to fight for him because Sanji is more perceptive than Zoro and, at the same time, also much faster than him. Quite clearly, Sanji’s current level of strength is above that of a Yonko First Commander, however, not quite at the level of an Admiral just yet.
The Enemies Of The Straw Hats In The Final Saga
The Straw Hat Pirates have reached Yonko status, however, this crew hasn’t yet matured completely. Every member of the crew still has a long way to go and they will encounter several strong enemies in the Final Saga of One Piece.
Fans should absolutely expect this group to face off against some powerful enemies, such as the Marine Admirals, and even the likes of the Five Elders. With such powerful enemies standing in front of them, the Straw Hats will have to level up and get stronger. It should be expected of the crew to reach new levels of power and the same applies to Sanji as well.
In fact, Oda has already confirmed that Sanji is not the finished product just yet. When questioned about his growing scientific powers in volume 105 SBS, Oda mentioned that his powers are starting to awaken and that fans should keep an eye on him in regards to future developments. Sanji is still going to develop even further and that only means that he will grow in terms of power even more.
Sanji’s End Of Series Power Level
In the Final Saga, Sanji will have to fight against several strong enemies. This is because One Piece has now introduced an even higher level of power that belongs to the likes of the Five Elders. And, to make things worse, there is one even above them and that is Imu. The Yonko and the Admirals are no longer the strongest people and, as such, Zoro and Sanji will both have to defeat these monstrous fighters. Neither of the two is at the level of an Admiral at the moment, and they will have to prove themselves against these monstrous navy fighters.
However, it shouldn’t be long until they clash against them. Sanji will likely fight against Kizaru and when that happens, he will have to defeat him and reach new levels of strength. It must be remembered that every Admiral is worth around 3 billion berries as their bounty is Three Crowns, as decided by the Cross Guild. This means Sanji will have taken down an enemy worth 3 billion berries. There’s also a good chance that Sanji will end up fighting against one of the Five Elders and this would see him reach his peak as a fighter. At the end of the story, Sanji will definitely be one of the strongest characters to have ever lived in the One Piece world, above the levels of an Admiral and likely on the same tear as the Yonko themselves.
All this would be made possible by his scientific powers growing even further. Even Oda clarified recently that Sanji will continue to grow his powers with time. There is no telling how strong he will get and, at the same time, he will also continue to develop his Haki. Sanji is also one of the biggest contenders for gaining Conqueror’s Haki, given that he is a prince of the Germa Kingdom and he has kingly blood flowing in his veins. He has also led the Straw Hat Pirates as their acting Captain for weeks and this makes him a qualified wielder of this power. Fans only need to sit back and wait as Sanju reaches higher levels of strength towards the end of One Piece.
One Piece is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. Unfortunately, One Piece will be on break next week. The release date for the next chapter of One Piece, One Piece 1096, is set to be October 29, 2023.
