Davis recorded his seventh straight double-double, scoring 40 points and grabbing 15 rebounds while shooting 63.6 percent from the field. He was dominant as usual on the defensive end of the floor, blocking three shots and picking up a steal.
As for James, he chipped in with 31 points of his own to go along with four rebounds and nine assists. With Los Angeles trailing by three points in overtime, James blocked Jordan Poole in transition before canning a game-tying triple on the other end of the floor.

LeBron Jamesā shot making has evolved so much over time. He is one of the most skilled shot makers Iāve ever seen, despite being built like a tank and freight train.

Lebron with some HUGE plays in Ot. HUGE. Started with the chase down, then the 3 to tie it. Then the nice back cut which led to an assist, and sealed it with a charge.
A big time 48 hours for him.

Despite the loss, Poole thrived off the bench for Washington. The 24-year-old scored a season-high 34 points while racking up seven assists, shooting 50 percent from the field and 41.7 percent from three.
After James’ 31-point performance, he’s currently nine points away from becoming the first player to score 40,000 points in NBA history. His next opportunity to meet the historic total will come on Saturday against the Denver Nuggets.
